Alchemy is a 300-capacity nightclub and live music venue in downtown Providence. The hybrid space features a full concert stage, dedicated dance floor, two bars, VIP seating, pool tables, and arcade games. The venue is LGBTQ+ friendly and explicitly rejects pay-to-play booking practices.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Alchemy hosts live music spanning hard rock, progressive metal, garage rock, and psych-rock, plus DJ nights and dancing. The venue prioritizes fair treatment of performers with an "artist first" philosophy. Monthly underground electronic nights like SuperFreq keep the dance floor packed.

HISTORY

Alchemy opened in September 2016, founded by Davey Moore of Midday Records with a mission to create "a home for Rhode Island's artists." The venue's founding philosophy rejected exploitative industry practices, establishing it as a safe haven for the local music community.
