EAST PROVIDENCE
BOLD POINT PARK
ABOUT
Bold Point Park is a scenic waterfront concert venue on the East Providence waterfront at 555 Waterfront Drive, positioned on Upper Narragansett Bay with views of the Seekonk River and the Providence skyline. A planned 5,000-capacity permanent amphitheater is set to open in 2026; until then, the venue hosts concerts on the waterfront grounds under the operation of RI Waterfront Events and Live Nation New England, offering seasonal lineups from May through October.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Bold Point events are outdoor summer concerts featuring rock, country, Americana, and alternative acts. The open-air waterfront setting means you'll enjoy performances under the sky with scenic views of the Providence skyline and Narragansett Bay. Attendees should expect to bring their own seating (blankets, chairs) or stand. The casual, relaxed atmosphere reflects the venue's waterfront park setting.
HISTORY
Bold Point was historically significant as a major maritime hub from 1884 to 1919, home to Providence Dry Dock and Marine Railway Co., operating the first floating dry dock in Narragansett. In 2017, the City of East Providence leased Bold Point Park to Live Nation and RI Waterfront Events. Past performers include Trombone Shorty, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, and Blackberry Smoke.
