GREENWICH ODEUM
ABOUT
The Greenwich Odeum is a beautifully restored 410-seat theater on Main Street in East Greenwich. This vintage venue showcases concerts, comedy shows, and classic films in an intimate setting with historic charm. The quaint Main Street location offers over a dozen restaurants, pubs, and shops within walking distance.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect an intimate, community-focused experience with excellent sightlines from every seat. The programming spans rock, folk, comedy, and classic film screenings. Complete wheelchair access and a welcoming volunteer-run atmosphere make it a local favorite.
HISTORY
Originally opened in 1926 as The Greenwich Theatre, it began as a vaudeville house with a rare luxury: air conditioning. After closing in 2007 to meet fire codes following the Station nightclub tragedy, community fundraising enabled it to reopen January 26, 2013. Notable past performers include Todd Rundgren, Blue Oyster Cult, and Hot Tuna.
