The Blue Room is an intimate jazz and live music venue located in Pawtuxet Village, Cranston, featuring a carefully curated 45-seat room with white leather booths, candlelit tables, fresh flowers, and professional production elements including a digital piano, house drum kit, monitors, and a dedicated sound technician. Owner Jen Minuto, a musician and attorney, designed the space as "a joyful, artistic, soulful place" welcoming diverse musical programming including jazz, blues, folk, fado, bossa nova, flamenco, and rock.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect an elegant, intimate atmosphere with candlelit tables, fresh flowers, and dark blue mood lighting. The 45-seat venue hosts live music consistently, with curated nightly performances. Sunday nights feature open mic with available mics, piano, and house drum kit. The full bar serves craft cocktails. Free off-street parking is available.
HISTORY
The Blue Room opened Memorial Day Weekend 2023. Owner Jen Minuto had identified this location a decade prior. The name "The Blue Room" references the blue note in jazz and draws inspiration from the legendary Blue Note Records in New York City. Minuto began playing piano at age five and maintained her passion even while practicing law for years.
