PAWTUCKET
THE MET
ABOUT
The Met is a legendary 500-capacity music venue in Pawtucket's Hope Artiste Village, carrying on the legacy of Rhode Island's iconic club scene. The intimate room fills the mid-sized venue gap Rhode Island had been missing.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Met books rock, folk, punk, blues, comedy, and hip-hop acts several nights a week. Known for excellent sound quality and an enthusiastic crowd that's always ready for a good time. The bar keeps things simple and the focus stays on the music.
HISTORY
The original Met Cafe opened in downtown Providence in 1975 alongside Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel, hosting Rhode Island debuts for Dave Matthews Band, Oasis, and Black-Eyed Peas during its 1993-2003 run. Rich and Sarah Lupo reopened The Met at its current Pawtucket location in 2010.
