Lost Nation Theater is a professional resident theater company based in the Montpelier City Hall Auditorium Arts Center at 39 Main Street in Montpelier, Vermont. The company transforms the four-wall space into an intimate 100-seat chamber theater with a lobby, box office, and concessions area. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and an Actors' Equity Association company.
WHAT TO EXPECT
LNT produces a year-round season of dramas, comedies, and musicals, along with new works and educational programs. The company also runs theater camps, master classes, and apprenticeship programs. The intimate configuration creates a close audience-performer relationship suited to its mission of staging work that explores human interaction.
HISTORY
Lost Nation Theater was founded by Kim Allen Bent and incorporated on January 21, 1977. The company started in Bristol, Vermont, creating original touring productions above a pizza parlor. LNT relocated to Montpelier in 1985 and became the resident professional theater of the City Hall Auditorium in 1989, where it has been based ever since.
