BURLINGTON
MAIN STREET LANDING PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
ABOUT
Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center is a multi-venue arts complex on the Burlington waterfront at 60 Lake Street. The facility includes several rental spaces: the Film House (up to 120 seats with DCP digital projection and Dolby Atmos surround sound on a 25-foot screen), the Black Box Theater (a flexible 39-by-54-foot space with full lighting grid), and the Lake Lobby, Great Room, and Atrium for events and receptions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Programming includes independent and foreign film screenings, live theater, dance performances, music events, and the Vermont International Film Festival. The Black Box Theater hosts theatrical productions and intimate concerts, while the Film House serves as a dedicated cinema space with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. The waterfront location on Lake Champlain adds to the venue's appeal.
HISTORY
Main Street Landing was established in 1988 and began redeveloping the former train station at One Main Street and adjacent properties on the Burlington waterfront. The Performing Arts Center was developed as part of a broader mixed-use redevelopment vision for the area, combining commercial space, residential units, and cultural programming in a sustainable waterfront district.
