Pentangle also presents cinema showings of first-run and independent films, documentary screenings in partnership with Sustainable Woodstock, and educational arts programming for youth. The organization emphasizes accessible, diverse arts experiences.
HISTORY
The Woodstock Town Hall was built in 1900 as the Woodstock Opera House. Pentangle Arts was founded in 1974 as a nonprofit dedicated to affordable arts programming. For its first years, the organization had no venue of its own. In the 1980s, Pentangle gained access to the Town Hall Theatre and undertook renovations to modernize the space. The theater has been at the heart of Woodstock's cultural life for over 50 years under Pentangle's stewardship.
