ABOUT
The Seaside Pavilion is a 1,400-seat covered outdoor amphitheater located at 8 Sixth Street in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. The venue was built in 1998 on the site where Salvation Army Camp Meetings have been held since 1885. It features a state-of-the-art sound system, stadium seating, and unobstructed views.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Programming includes concerts, gospel performances, choral groups, symphony orchestras, and military bands. The season runs from mid-June to mid-August. Free trolley service is available from Old Orchard Beach High School for parking.
HISTORY
The pavilion was dedicated in a ceremony featuring former President George H.W. Bush. Past performers include the Portland Symphony Orchestra, Ricky Skaggs, Michael W. Smith, and Steven Curtis Chapman. The venue has served as a centerpiece of the Old Orchard Beach summer events calendar for over 25 years.
