The Monkey House is a neighborhood bar, music venue, and pizza shop at 30 Main Street in the heart of Winooski, just across the river from Burlington. The venue has a capacity of 96 and operates as an intimate room for live performances. It is open daily from 3 p.m. to midnight with a full bar, craft cocktails, and pizza menu.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Programming spans live music, comedy, burlesque, DJ nights, trivia, artisan markets, and food pop-ups. The Monkey House has built Burlington's music scene into a regular tour stop for emerging bands through partnerships with promoters including Waking Windows, Angioplasty Media, MSR Presents, and Green Mountain Cabaret. The small room and neighborhood-bar atmosphere create an intimate, high-energy show experience.
HISTORY
Born from the high concentration of musicians in the greater Burlington area, The Monkey House established itself as a vital link in the regional touring circuit for independent and up-and-coming acts. The venue is located in Winooski's revitalized downtown circle, contributing to the small city's identity as a cultural complement to neighboring Burlington.
