Broad Brook is a former mill village in East Windsor where the textile industry built everything — housing, a company store, and a public hall — around a single woolen factory on the river.

The Broad Brook Opera House, erected in 1892 by the Broad Brook Company, sat dormant for decades before reopening in 2018 as a live music and events venue hosting tribute acts, local bands, and community gatherings.
