RIDGEFIELD

Ridgefield is a town of 25,033 in northern Fairfield County, designated as Connecticut's first Cultural District in 2021. Its Main Street runs through a walkable downtown lined with Georgian Revival and Queen Anne homes.

Ridgefield Playhouse on East Ridge Road hosts over a hundred shows a year spanning live music, comedy, and film. A Contemporary Theatre of Connecticut (ACT) stages professional theater with Broadway-level casts in a downtown space.

Prospector Theater runs first-run films while providing integrated employment to people with disabilities. The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum and Ridgefield Guild of Artists add gallery programming. Branchville, the southern village with its own Metro-North station, provides train access from the New Haven Line.
