CINESTUDIO

Cinestudio is a nonprofit independent film theater located on the campus of Trinity College at 300 Summit Street in Hartford, Connecticut. The theater is a single-screen venue with over 450 seats, featuring a balcony, golden curtain, and a signature McKim, Mead and White building design from 1935.

Cinestudio screens a diverse program of independent, foreign, classic, and documentary films along with special series such as Queer Cinema Thursdays and National Theatre Live broadcasts. The venue is equipped with 4K digital cinema projection as well as 35mm and 70mm film projectors for archival presentations.

Founded in 1970 by a group of Trinity College students, Cinestudio has become one of the most respected art house cinemas in the United States. The theater is known for its projection and sound quality and has maintained continuous operation for over five decades.
