COLLEGE STREET MUSIC HALL
ABOUT
College Street Music Hall is a 2,000-capacity standing-room live music venue located at 238 College Street in downtown New Haven, Connecticut. The venue features flexible configurations ranging from 650 cabaret-style seats to full standing room, plus a 900-seat balcony. It occupies the former Roger Sherman Theatre building in the heart of New Haven's arts district.
WHAT TO EXPECT
College Street Music Hall hosts national touring acts across rock, indie, hip-hop, comedy, and electronic genres. The venue operates as all-ages for most events, with doors typically opening an hour before showtime. Acts like Jason Isbell, Modest Mouse, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise regularly pass through the room.
HISTORY
The building has a long entertainment history dating to the mid-1800s and later served as the Palace Theatre. The venue reopened as College Street Music Hall in 2015, bringing the marquee lights back on and helping revitalize New Haven's downtown entertainment scene. It is operated by College Street Live and uses Eventbrite for ticketing.
