LEVITT PAVILION
ABOUT
Levitt Pavilion is a free outdoor concert venue at 40 Jesup Road in Westport, Connecticut. The facility features a covered stage with professional sound and lighting, a sloped lawn for audience seating, and a hospitality building. The pavilion produces one of the largest and longest-running free outdoor summer festivals in the nation, presenting approximately 60 free concerts each summer.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Summer programming spans multiple genres including rock, folk, world music, jazz, pop, and family-friendly acts. All lawn concerts are free and open to the public, with audiences bringing blankets and chairs. The pavilion also presents select ticketed premium events. The venue's Westport location draws audiences from across Fairfield County.
HISTORY
Established in 1973 by the Westport community, the Levitt Pavilion presented its first season in 1974. Residents transformed the site of the former town dump into a community gathering space, naming it in honor of Mortimer and Mimi Levitt's support. In 2014, the pavilion opened its new home following a $9.5 million capital campaign that included a new stage and roof, upgraded sound and lights, the sloped lawn, and a hospitality building.
