SHRINE AT FOXWOODS
ABOUT
Shrine was a 21,000-square-foot nightclub and lounge located inside Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket. The venue featured an Asian-influenced design with an 18-panel LED video wall and Function One sound system. It was operated by Big Night Entertainment Group and served as the casino's primary nightlife destination for nearly two decades.
WHAT TO EXPECT
At its peak, Shrine hosted DJs, live performers, and themed party nights for a 21+ audience. The club drew comparisons to venues in Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. Notable performers over the years included Avicii, Steve Aoki, Snoop Dogg, and DJ Skribble. The venue ranked in the Top 100 nightclubs worldwide for 13 consecutive years, placing 35th globally.
HISTORY
Shrine opened at Foxwoods as part of the resort's entertainment expansion and operated for approximately 17 years. The nightclub and its companion lounge, Red Lantern, officially closed on September 12, 2025, as Foxwoods announced a new era of nightlife concepts to replace them.
