HISTORY
Originally opened around 1900 as a vaudeville theater, the venue was known by several names including the Welles Theater, The Comique, The Woods, and The Palace. It served as a community gathering place for vaudeville, silent movies, and talkies before operating as a movie theater through 1960. The building was restored and reopened as a performing arts venue in the 2010s.
