WESTVILLE MUSIC BOWL
ABOUT
Westville Music Bowl is a large-scale outdoor concert venue at 45 Yale Avenue in New Haven's Westville neighborhood, on the campus of Yale University. The open-air amphitheater has a scalable capacity from 3,500 to 9,700 depending on event configuration. The venue is operated by The Bowery Presents and serves as the greater New Haven region's primary outdoor concert facility.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Programming features major national touring acts across rock, pop, indie, jam, and folk genres during the warm-weather concert season. The venue hosts general admission lawn and reserved seating configurations. Cannabis delivery to the venue on concert days is available through a retail partner. Tickets are sold through AXS.
HISTORY
The facility was originally built in 1991 as a permanent tennis stadium for the Volvo Tennis Tournament, hosting professional tennis for three decades. In 2021, the stadium was retrofitted as a concert venue and rebranded as the Westville Music Bowl. The conversion transformed a former sports facility into one of Connecticut's largest outdoor music venues.
