NORWALK
Norwalk sits on Long Island Sound between Stamford and Bridgeport, with a population of 91,184. The South Norwalk neighborhood, known as SoNo, anchors the city's dining and entertainment corridor along Washington Street.
District Music Hall on Wall Street is a former Wall Street Theater building listed on the National Register of Historic Places, now operating as a nonprofit live-music and arts venue with capacity for 2,000. Norwalk Concert Hall handles classical, jazz, and community bookings through the city.
Music Theatre of Connecticut runs intimate musical theater productions. SoNo's gallery row and the annual SoNo Arts Festival draw foot traffic that feeds into the evening show calendar. Rowayton, a waterside village in southern Norwalk, has its own arts center.
Tip: District Music Hall sits on the Wall Street corridor, a few blocks from the SoNo restaurant strip, making it easy to pair dinner and a show on foot.
