Uncasville is a village in the town of Montville, situated where the Oxoboxo River meets the Thames River in southeastern Connecticut. The Mohegan Tribe operates Mohegan Sun here, a 240-acre casino and entertainment complex on their reservation along the Thames.
Mohegan Sun Arena seats 10,000 and ranks consistently among the top arenas in the country by Billboard and Pollstar. Mohegan Sun Wolf Den is a 350-seat circular venue on the casino floor where shows put artists within arm's reach of the audience. Avalon Night Club at Mohegan Sun and Mohegan Sun Cabaret cover DJ sets and lounge-format entertainment.
Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun handles mid-size private and ticketed events. Like Foxwoods, everything clusters inside one complex, but Mohegan Sun's layout splits across the Casino of the Earth and Casino of the Sky wings.
Tip: Mohegan Sun Wolf Den shows are free but require you to be 21 or older. Arrive early because seating is first-come.
