ABOUT
The Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater is a 5,700+ seat boutique outdoor amphitheater located on the bank of the Long Island Sound in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The venue can accommodate up to 8,000 concertgoers at standing-room capacity. It features a distinctive tensile roof, marble bathrooms, four large video boards, cup holders at every seat, and premium hospitality options including suites and VIP lounges.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The amphitheater hosts major touring concerts and entertainment throughout the summer season, with acts ranging from James Taylor and Chris Stapleton to Weird Al Yankovic and Tedeschi Trucks Band. The venue features an extensive local food program with over 20 Connecticut food vendors. Premium seating includes Loge Boxes, Jack Daniels Club, Banana Boat Suites, and Harbor Club options.
HISTORY
The amphitheater opened on July 28, 2021, built on the site of the former Ballpark at Harbor Yard, which had hosted minor league baseball from 1998 to 2017. A groundbreaking ceremony for the conversion was held in July 2018. The venue is a joint venture between the City of Bridgeport and Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in association with Live Nation. It has won the VenuesNow All-Star Award for Renovation and Best Large Music Venue in Connecticut.
