ARUNDEL
Arundel is a small southern Maine town between Biddeford and Kennebunkport where Vinegar Hill Music Theatre draws audiences to a converted 1880s barn for live music, comedy, and special events. The venue's intimate setting and rural location make it a destination worth the drive from Portland or the southern Maine beaches.
Vinegar Hill Music Theatre on Old Post Road operates from late April through early December, booking blues, rock, folk, tribute acts, and comedians in its post-and-beam barn with professional sound. An outdoor garden courtyard and indoor/outdoor bar add to the atmosphere. The venue also hosts private events and fundraisers.
Arundel itself is rural and quiet — you come here specifically for Vinegar Hill. The barn setting gives shows an intimate, informal quality, and the surrounding farmland setting is a contrast to the coastal resort towns nearby.
Tip: Vinegar Hill is off I-95 near Exit 32. Check the season schedule online and buy tickets in advance for popular acts.
