BEAR MOUNTAIN MUSIC HALL

Bear Mountain Music Hall is a nonprofit community music venue at 427 Waterford Road in Waterford, Maine. Events take place in the Main Hall, which dates from 1844 and originally served as a Universalist Church before being taken over by the Grange in the 1890s. A downstairs space called the Old School Cafe occupies a converted two-room schoolhouse.

Programming consists of concerts, song circles, and community events. All events operate on a donation basis with a reception following each performance. The lineup features local and regional singer-songwriters in genres including Americana, folk, and country.

Bear Mountain Music Hall is an established 501(c)(3) that continues the building's tradition as a gathering place. The organization actively pursues grants and sponsorships for building renovations while maintaining the hall's historic character. The building remains a work in progress with ongoing repairs to bring it up to modern standards.
