MAINE STATE PIER

Maine State Pier is a municipal-owned outdoor concert venue on Portland's eastern waterfront at the intersection of Commercial Street and Franklin Street in Portland, Maine. The venue has a capacity of approximately 3,000. It sits directly on the harbor with views of Casco Bay and the Portland skyline.

The pier hosts outdoor concerts and festivals during the warmer months, operated by Waterfront Concerts. Events feature national touring acts. The venue offers accessible seating, concessions, and a 21+ beer tent. The waterfront location provides a distinctive open-air concert setting.

The Maine State Pier is a historic deepwater marine facility. In 2009, the Portland City Council approved spending $2.4 million to redevelop the end of the pier, with improvements that included the creation of an outdoor music venue. The pier has served both commercial maritime and entertainment purposes.
