FARMINGTON
NARROW GAUGE AMPHITHEATER
ABOUT
Narrow Gauge Amphitheater is an outdoor concert venue in Farmington, Maine, located on the edge of downtown adjacent to Narrow Gauge Cinemas. The stage sits in front of a drive-in movie screen, and the grounds are arranged on a tiered slope bordered by open fields. A new indoor venue at the cinema offers a professional stage, sound system, and dynamic lighting.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The amphitheater hosts the Whistlestop Concert Series, featuring summer outdoor concerts, the Sandy River Music Festival, and the Under the Oaks Music Festival. During night shows, the band is projected on the drive-in screen. The open-air setting with views of Maine sky provides a distinctive concert backdrop.
HISTORY
The Whistlestop Concert Series began in 2022 as the realization of a long-standing community desire for an outdoor concert venue in Maine's foothills region. John Moore has been the driving force behind bringing touring acts to Farmington through the series, which has expanded to include multiple festivals and a year-round indoor music schedule.
