PORTLAND HOUSE OF MUSIC & EVENTS (PHOME)
ABOUT
Portland House of Music and Events (PHOME) is a two-level live music venue at 25 Temple Street in downtown Portland, Maine. The space has a capacity of approximately 300, with a main floor, mezzanine, bar, kitchen, and additional outdoor patio seating. It is the only venue in Portland situated on the first floor of a parking garage, providing direct covered parking access.
WHAT TO EXPECT
PHOME programs a wide range of genres from rock and indie to funk, jazz, electronic, and hip-hop. The venue hosts both established touring artists and emerging local acts. The two-level layout gives audiences the option of floor-level standing or elevated mezzanine viewing.
HISTORY
The venue was launched in 2015 by Ken Bell as a successor to his former space, The Big Easy. It quickly became a central part of Portland's live music scene, hosting performances most nights of the week. The 300-capacity venue was listed for sale in August 2025.
