THE DANCE HALL

The Dance Hall is a nonprofit music and arts venue at 7 Walker Street in Kittery Foreside, Maine. It occupies a historic 1928 Grange Hall and has a capacity of 175. The hall features a maplewood dance floor and is known for its authentic vintage atmosphere and natural acoustics.

Weekends are booked with live performances spanning folk, world music, and roots genres, with audiences frequently encouraged to dance. Midweek dance classes for all levels are available. Ticket prices are affordable, and the programming emphasizes culturally diverse, intergenerational arts experiences.

The Dance Hall was founded in 2010 by dancer and producer Drika Overton to inspire people of all ages to experience the joy of music, movement, and dance. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to community-building through the arts, and it serves as one of the Seacoast region's primary intimate performance spaces.
