MAINE SAVINGS AMPHITHEATER

ABOUT

Maine Savings Amphitheater is an open-air amphitheater located within Waterfront Park in Bangor, Maine, alongside the Penobscot River. The venue has a capacity of up to 16,500 and features 6,400 permanent stadium seats, flexible stage-front areas, and general admission lawn space. It typically operates from July through October.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Expect large-scale national touring acts across rock, country, pop, and contemporary genres. The amphitheater offers reserved seating, general admission, and VIP/corporate suite options with views of the river. The open-air setting along the Penobscot provides a waterfront concert experience.

HISTORY

The amphitheater opened on July 27, 2010, with a concert by Celtic Woman. Originally called the Bangor Waterfront Pavilion with a capacity of 8,000, it was expanded in 2013 to its current size. Previously known as Darling's Waterfront Pavilion, it was renamed Maine Savings Amphitheater. A University of Maine study found the venue generated over $30 million in economic impact by 2013.
