ABOUT
The Cotuit Center for the Arts is a nonprofit performing and visual arts center at 4404 Falmouth Road in Cotuit on Cape Cod. The main performance space seats approximately 150 in an intimate configuration with strong acoustics. An outdoor stage called Tangletuit hosts summer concerts.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect theater productions, concerts spanning folk, blues, jazz, and tribute acts, plus art exhibitions and educational programs. The center serves over 30,000 attendees annually and collaborates with Cape Cod artists, musicians, and volunteers. Programming includes an Open Mic Night on the fourth Friday of each month.
HISTORY
Founded in 1993 and incorporated as a nonprofit in 1995, the center opened its current facility in May 2004. Since then it has produced over 50 art exhibitions featuring 500-plus visual artists, along with dozens of concerts and theatrical productions. An art studio expansion was completed in 2005-2006.
