It is one of seven locations operated by the Hangar Pub chain, which is also home to Amherst Brewing. The Agawam location serves the chain's signature wings in 26 flavors alongside craft beers brewed by Amherst Brewing.

Visitors can expect a casual pub atmosphere centered on wings, craft beer, and sports viewing. The venue features trivia night on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM and a rotating tap list of small-batch beers including New England IPAs, lagers, and seasonal releases. The Hangar Pub & Grill originated in Amherst, Massachusetts, over 20 years ago as a wing restaurant. In 2015, the ownership acquired Amherst Brewing and began expanding across Western Massachusetts. The Agawam location is part of a chain that now spans all four counties of Western Massachusetts, including Westfield, Greenfield, Pittsfield, and South Hadley.
