WEBSTER
INDIAN RANCH
ABOUT
Indian Ranch is a ~3,000-seat outdoor lakeside amphitheater in Webster, Massachusetts, on the shores of Webster Lake (also known as Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg). The amphitheater features reserved seating with a lake backdrop and is surrounded by a campground and resort property. It is one of the oldest continuously operating outdoor concert venues in the country.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Indian Ranch specializes in country music and earned the nickname "Nashville of the North" for its prominence in the genre. Programming also includes classic rock, Americana, and family events. The lakeside setting, campground amenities, and Samuel Slater's Restaurant on the property create a full-day destination experience. The venue operates seasonally from spring through fall.
HISTORY
Indian Ranch has been hosting live outdoor entertainment since 1946, when a local Native American promoter created the resort, initially booking vaudeville acts, plays, and hillbilly music with a stage taken from a showboat and patrons sitting on wooden logs. Over the decades, the venue hosted Nashville stars including Ernest Tubb, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, and Charley Pride. The venue celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021.
