INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ART (ICA)

The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) is a contemporary art museum at 25 Harbor Shore Drive on Boston Harbor in the Seaport district. The museum's waterfront campus includes outdoor performance areas used for seasonal music programming.

Expect summer concert series like HarborWalk Sounds (a free partnership with Berklee College of Music), monthly First Friday parties with DJs and live musicians (21+), and other music and performance events integrated into the museum's cultural calendar.

The ICA was founded in 1936 and moved to its current Diller Scofidio + Renfro-designed waterfront building in 2006. The museum expanded with the Watershed space in East Boston in 2018, further extending its programming reach.
