LEVITATE BACKYARD

Levitate Backyard is a seasonal outdoor music venue at 1871 Ocean Street in Marshfield, Massachusetts, with a capacity of approximately 200 for ticketed shows. The venue operates from May through October and features a bar, food from Rexicana Surf Cantina, and an outdoor setting.

Expect a mix of free daily live music ("Apres Beach" sessions), ticketed shows with national touring acts, art shows, and community events. The space is family-friendly until 7 PM, with ticketed 18+ shows starting at 8 PM on Thursday through Sunday. Programming spans jam, folk, reggae, and indie genres.

The Levitate Backyard opened in the summer of 2018 with two sold-out Citizen Cope shows. The venue is literally the backyard of the Levitate Surf Shop, which was founded in Marshfield in 2003. The first Levitate Music Festival took place in 2013 to celebrate the surf shop's tenth anniversary. One percent of all venue sales benefit the Levitate Foundation.
