MULLINS CENTER

ABOUT

The Mullins Center is a 9,493-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, expandable to 10,500 for concerts in a 360-degree configuration. The venue serves as the home court for UMass Minutemen basketball and hockey programs while hosting touring concerts, family shows, and university events.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Expect a large-scale college arena experience with steep seating offering clear sightlines to the main floor. The venue books a mix of national touring acts, comedians, and family entertainment alongside a full schedule of Division I athletics.

HISTORY

The arena opened on February 4, 1993 with a men's basketball overtime victory over West Virginia. It is named for William D. Mullins, a state representative from Ludlow who championed the project in 1985 but died before construction began. The state proceeded with the build and named the facility in his honor.
