ABOUT

O'Brien's Pub is a 70-capacity dive bar and live music venue at 3 Harvard Ave in Allston. The pub operates as a full-time music room, booking shows most nights of the week across all genres.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Expect an up-close, loud, sweaty rock club experience featuring underground and emerging acts. Playing O'Brien's is considered a rite of passage for Boston-area musicians, with bands often graduating to larger venues after cutting their teeth here.

HISTORY

O'Brien's has been a fixture of the Allston music scene since the early 1980s. The venue gained additional significance after the 2020 closure of its sister club, Great Scott. Both venues share booking manager Carl Lavin, and O'Brien's is planned to reopen alongside the new Great Scott location in 2027.
