ABOUT
O'Brien's Pub is a 70-capacity dive bar and live music venue at 3 Harvard Ave in Allston . The pub operates as a full-time music room, booking shows most nights of the week across all genres.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect an up-close, loud, sweaty rock club experience featuring underground and emerging acts. Playing O'Brien's is considered a rite of passage for Boston-area musicians, with bands often graduating to larger venues after cutting their teeth here.
HISTORY
O'Brien's has been a fixture of the Allston music scene since the early 1980s . The venue gained additional significance after the 2020 closure of its sister club, Great Scott . Both venues share booking manager Carl Lavin , and O'Brien's is planned to reopen alongside the new Great Scott location in 2027 .
