ABOUT
Plainridge Park Casino is a $250 million integrated racing and gaming facility at 301 Washington Street in Plainville, Massachusetts. The casino features entertainment venues including The Loft, Revolution Lounge, and The Patio (an outdoor stage). It is also home to the only live harness racing track in Massachusetts.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Revolution Lounge hosts free live music, comedy, and tribute bands. The Loft presents ticketed comedians and larger musical acts. The Patio takes entertainment outdoors during warmer months. Programming leans toward tribute bands, dance rock acts, and party bands. The gaming floor features 1,250 slot machines, video poker, and video blackjack.
HISTORY
The site opened in 1999 as Plainridge Racecourse, founded by Gary Piontkowski, the former manager of Foxboro Park (which closed in 1997 after a dispute between owner Robert Kraft and operator Charles Sarkis). Plainridge became a racino and was relaunched as Plainridge Park Casino on June 24, 2015, making it Massachusetts' first legal casino. Live harness racing runs April through November annually.
