ABOUT
Plymouth Memorial Hall is a ~1,450-seat municipal performance venue at 83 Court Street in Plymouth, Massachusetts, approximately 40 miles south of Boston in historic coastal Plymouth. The hall features mezzanine and balcony seating sections within a Colonial Revival brick structure. It is listed on the Massachusetts Register of Historic Places.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Plymouth Memorial Hall hosts concerts, theater, comedy, dance, and community events, managed by Spectacle Live. The Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra uses the hall as its home venue. The facility also serves as a civic gathering space for the Town of Plymouth, hosting public meetings and ceremonial events alongside its entertainment programming.
HISTORY
Plymouth Memorial Hall was constructed between 1924 and 1925 and opened in 1926, designed by the architectural firm of Russell and Little. A committee was established as early as 1924 to build a memorial to veterans of the Great War, the Spanish-American War, and the Mexican-American War. The building was designed to serve the dual purpose of a veterans memorial and a town hall with civic auditorium.
