The Regent Theatre is a 450-seat historic performing arts and cultural center at 7 Medford St in Arlington (just off Mass Ave), minutes from Cambridge and Boston. The theater is MBTA- and handicap-accessible, with street parking and a large municipal lot across the street.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect live music, theatre, dance, family entertainment, comedy, independent films, and film festivals in an intimate room with strong acoustics and clear sightlines. Past 20 years' performers include Samara Joy, Paula Poundstone, Johnny Winter, Taj Mahal, Hot Tuna, Steven Tyler, Asleep at the Wheel, and many more.
HISTORY
The Regent opened in 1916 as a vaudeville house billed as "Arlington's Showplace of Entertainment." It has operated continuously for over a century as a community cultural center.
