ABOUT
Sanctuary Cultural Arts Center is a live entertainment venue and bar at 82 Main Street in Maynard, Massachusetts, housed in a 150-year-old former church. The 5,000-square-foot space has a general admission capacity of 367 standing and 269 seated, with high ceilings and stained glass windows. NOTE: The website listed in venues.md (sanctuaryarts.org) points to a different organization in Eliot, Maine. The correct website is sanctuarymaynard.com.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect concerts, tribute bands, and family programming in a beautifully converted church setting known for excellent acoustics. The venue operates a full bar open seven days a week, with the main hall hosting shows on scheduled concert nights.
HISTORY
Sanctuary Cultural Arts Center was launched in 2019 with a mission to support the community, host live entertainment, and preserve 82 Main Street and its legacy. The venue has quickly established itself as a regional draw west of Boston in Maynard's historic downtown district.
