NORWELL

THE COMPANY THEATRE

ABOUT

The Company Theatre is a nonprofit community theater at 30 Accord Park Drive in Norwell, Massachusetts, on the South Shore. The venue includes a 360-seat theater and serves as a performing arts hub for the region. The theater also operates the Academy of the Company Theatre, offering arts education programs.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Company Theatre produces eight shows per year, hosts outside talent, and offers over 70 classes in the performing and visual arts for ages five through adult. Programming spans musicals, dramas, comedies, and children's productions. The theater has developed a reputation for polished productions in an intimate South Shore setting.

HISTORY

The Company Theatre was founded in 1979 by Zoe Bradford and Jordie Saucerman, who produced the company's first show, *A Midsummer Night's Dream*, in a church basement with a budget of $50. With community support, the company purchased its own theater complex in Norwell in 1992, establishing a permanent home that it has operated from ever since.
