NEW BEDFORD
THE VAULT MUSIC HALL
ABOUT
The Vault Performing Arts Center & Pub is a live music venue and restaurant at 791 Purchase Street in downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts. The venue occupies a former bank building from the whaling era, featuring original vault doors and historic architectural details. Capacity is 320-350 standing, 220 seated, with 500 for the full building.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Programming includes live concerts, comedy shows, and ticketed events across rock, indie, folk, and other genres. The pub side serves food alongside performances, creating a combined dining and entertainment experience. The venue's former bank vault adds a distinctive visual element to the performance space.
HISTORY
The building originally housed the New Bedford Five Cents Savings Bank, established during the city's whaling era. The space was rebranded as The Vault Music Hall & Pub in May 2021, replacing the previous Greasy Luck Brewpub name. The venue continues to operate as a performing arts center and pub in downtown New Bedford's arts district.
