YARMOUTH
Yarmouth is one of the oldest towns on Cape Cod, established in 1639. It spans the width of the mid-Cape from Cape Cod Bay to Nantucket Sound and encompasses three villages: Yarmouth Port, West Yarmouth, and South Yarmouth. The town covers 28 square miles and has a year-round population of about 25,000 that swells significantly in summer.
The 317 Community Music Center programs concerts and music education in an intimate setting. Additional Cape entertainment options are nearby in Hyannis and Dennis. The Cape Cod Rail Trail passes through South Yarmouth for recreation between shows.
You'll find Yarmouth Port's Route 6A corridor lined with sea captain houses and antique shops, while the south-side villages along Route 28 cater to vacationers with family attractions. Bass Hole Boardwalk and Bass River provide the coastal backdrop.
Tip: Route 6A is the scenic north-side drive. Hyannis is a short trip west for a wider venue selection. The Cape Cod Rail Trail connects to Dennis and points east.
