ABOUT
3S Artspace is a nonprofit contemporary arts venue at 319 Vaughan Street in Portsmouth, NH. The 20,000-square-foot converted storage facility houses a performance space with a capacity of 400 standing or 200 seated, a large art gallery, a lobby gallery, a retail shop, and a restaurant partner. The organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The performance space hosts indie rock, folk, electronic, experimental music, dance parties, podcasts, and community events. Programming emphasizes emerging and touring artists alongside locally curated nights. The venue also maintains an active gallery exhibition schedule with rotating shows throughout the year, positioning it at the intersection of visual and performing arts.
HISTORY
3S Artspace was founded in 2011 as a nonprofit arts organization and opened its physical space in March 2014. The venue celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2025. It has grown into a cultural anchor in Portsmouth's West End, combining contemporary arts programming with community gathering space and gallery exhibitions.
