Great Barrington is a southern Berkshires town with a walkable downtown that supports a performing arts center, a historic music venue, and an independent cinema.

Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center is a restored 1904 theater that programs live music, film, dance, and spoken word year-round. Guthrie Center — housed in the church made famous by Arlo Guthrie — hosts folk and roots concerts and community events. Triplex Cinema provides independent and first-run film.
