THE CABOT
ABOUT
The Cabot is a restored historic theater in downtown Beverly, Massachusetts, with a current seating capacity of 850 across orchestra and balcony levels. The venue presents live music, comedy, film screenings, and community programming on the North Shore.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect an intimate theater setting in a beautifully restored early-20th-century movie palace. The Cabot books a diverse mix of nationally recognized performers, classic and current films, and community-driven arts events.
HISTORY
The theater opened in 1920 as the Ware Theatre with an original seating capacity of 1,450. It was closed in 1950 due to a sagging roof beam, reopened in 1965 as the Cabot Theatre, and has undergone significant restoration since 2015 to reach its current configuration.
