SONIA

Sonia is a 350-capacity live music venue at 10 Brookline Street in Central Square, part of The Middle East entertainment complex. The room occupies the former space of T.T. the Bear's Place, a beloved Cambridge rock club that closed in 2015.

Expect indie rock, electronic, hip-hop, and punk from touring and local acts. Sonia fills the mid-size gap between the Middle East Upstairs (200) and Downstairs (550), drawing acts that have outgrown small clubs but are not yet filling larger rooms.

Sonia opened in March 2017 and is named after the Sater family's sister. The space was renovated from T.T. the Bear's Place, which had operated at the same address since 1983. Sonia is one of three dedicated concert spaces in the Middle East complex.
