NORTH CONWAY

North Conway is a village within the town of Conway and the tourism hub of the Mount Washington Valley. Known for outlet shopping at Settlers Green and proximity to ski resorts, it also maintains a small performing arts presence for its vacation-driven population.

M & D Playhouse (formerly the Mount Washington Valley Theatre Company space) stages year-round theatrical productions in the village area. The Conway Scenic Railroad's Victorian station and Schouler Park with its free summer concert series round out the entertainment options in the village center.

North Conway runs on tourism. The audience for live entertainment is largely visitors on ski trips, fall foliage weekends, or summer vacations looking for an evening activity. The village has a resort-town energy with restaurants, shops, and hotels clustered along Route 16.

Tip: The village center around Schouler Park is the walkable core. Summer concerts in the park are free. Check M & D Playhouse for their current production schedule.
