SNHU Arena is a multi-purpose arena located at 555 Elm Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. The venue has a concert capacity of 11,770 (center stage) or 10,050 (end stage), making it the largest indoor venue in New Hampshire. It also seats 9,852 for hockey and 11,140 for basketball.
WHAT TO EXPECT
SNHU Arena hosts a wide range of events including concerts, comedy shows, professional wrestling, and family entertainment. Notable recurring events include Monster Jam, Ringling Bros. circus performances, and WWE shows held almost every year since 2002. The arena features modern amenities and a flexible seating configuration.
HISTORY
The arena opened on November 15, 2001 as the Verizon Wireless Arena, with the first event being an AHL game between the Manchester Monarchs and Adirondack Thunder. The facility was originally known during construction as the Manchester Civic Center. On September 1, 2016, the arena was renamed after Southern New Hampshire University purchased the naming rights.
