WHAT TO EXPECT
The Flying Monkey presents a mix of live music, comedy, film screenings, community theater, and tribute acts. The venue operates as a dinner-and-show experience, and has hosted Grammy-winning artists alongside community plays and independent films. The space features a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system within an intimate, classic theater setting.
HISTORY
The building originally opened as the "New Plymouth Theater" in the 1920s, serving as a vaudeville and silent film house. After years of closure and falling into disrepair, The Common Man family purchased and renovated the theater in 2010, relaunching it as The Flying Monkey Movie House & Performance Center. The venue is managed by Spectacle Live, a New England-based venue management company.
