BANK OF NEW HAMPSHIRE STAGE
ABOUT
Bank of New Hampshire Stage (BNH Stage) is a flexible performance venue at 16 South Main Street in downtown Concord, NH. The space holds 296 seated or 424 standing with a fully retractable seating system that allows conversion between seated concerts and general admission standing-room shows. The venue features a 15x25-foot HD LED video wall and state-of-the-art lighting and sound.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Programming spans live music, comedy, theater, community events, and Met Opera HD broadcasts. The venue hosts everything from touring indie acts and tribute bands to swing dance nights and local open mics. It operates as the smaller companion space to the 1,300-seat Chubb Theatre at the Capitol Center for the Arts, both managed by the same nonprofit organization.
HISTORY
The BNH Stage occupies the former Concord Theatre, a historic downtown movie house that showed its last film in the 1990s and sat vacant for decades. The Capitol Center for the Arts took ownership in July 2018 through a successful capital campaign called "Creating Our Future," and opened the renovated space as the Bank of NH Stage in June 2019. The venue was funded through community donations and a public-private partnership.
